A funerary minister ("ka‐servant") of the Vizier Ipi, Heqanakht is known distinctly from a progression of papyri formed by and for him in regnal years 5–8 of Senwosret I (ca. 1957–1954 BCE). The records comprise of four letters, four records, and four pieces. They are huge for their unrivaled delineation of the day by day life and economy of a middle‐class Egyptian family during the Middle Kingdom.
